"Rotary Shares' is theme of speeches

The Rotary Club of Paris invites any high school student, freshman through senior, to compose a speech about this year's motto, ”Rotary Shares.“

Students will be asked to recite their speeches without notes for five to eight minutes and will be judged on delivery, originality and content.

Judging will take place during the March 26 Rotary meeting. Applications are available at local high schools or call Angela Forsythe at (859) 987-5750.

Paris windows showcase horses

Retail stores, restaurants, offices and others will be collaborating with horse farms to decorate windows in downtown Paris between April 1 and May 30, showcasing the city's motto of ”Horses, History and Hospitality.“

YMCA offers Pilates

The Paris-Bourbon County YMCA at 917 Main Street in Paris will hold its third series of six-week Pilates sessions starting April 7 and continuing each Monday through May 12.

■ Beginning Pilates — 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. Members $25; non-members $45.

■ Intermediate Pilates — 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. Members $30; non-members $55.

Paris cleanup day 
is postponed

The scheduled March 29 Cleanup Day on Main Street in Paris has been postponed. It is expected to be rescheduled during the summer.
