The Jack Jouett House Historic Site announces that Joel Meador has been named as its interim executive director.
A native of Barren County, Meador received his bachelor of arts in corporate and organizational communication from Western Kentucky University. He spent 10 years in customer service at the Barren River Lake State Resort Park in Lucas.

Meador was appointed as site manager of the Jack Jouett House Historic Site in July 2005. He will also continue serving as assistant oral history archivist for the Kentucky Historical Society in Frankfort.
This past July, Meador was awarded a summa cum laude masters of science in library and information science with an emphasis on archival studies from the University of Kentucky. He is a member of the Society of American Archivists and the American Library Association.
The Jack Jouett House Historic Site is owned and operated by the Woodford County Fiscal Court and is located at 255 Craig's Creek Road, Versailles. Tours are offered from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, April 1 through Oct. 31 or by appointment. Call (859) 873-7902.
