HistoryMobile needs new tractor
The Kentucky Historical Society Foundation recently received a $20,000 grant from the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels for the purchase of a replacement tractor to pull the KHS HistoryMobile. Japanese guests expected
Frankfort will host guests from Japan as part of the Japan/America Cultural Exchange Program. The guests will tour the city Oct. 24-27.
State seeks input on services for the blind
The Kentucky Office for the Blind in the Department for Workforce Investment is seeking public comment on the service needs of Kentuckians with visual disabilities. Results of the survey will be used to assess the greatest employment, housing, adaptive equipment and educational needs of people who are blind and visually impaired to plan for future services. To complete a survey, visit http://blind.ky.gov and click "Comprehensive Statewide Needs Assessment." Call 1-800-321-6668 to complete the survey by telephone or to request one by mail. OFB provides job counseling, education, job training and assisting technology services to Kentuckians who are visually impaired.
