Building a boardwalk
More than 200 community volunteers and team members from Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky, Inc. gathered Sept. 27 for the 15th annual National Public Lands Day activities. Projects included the construction of a 200-foot boardwalk at Salato Wildlife Education Center in Frankfort that will help make a portion of the trail handicap-accessible. Other projects included general trail cleanup and maintenance and the creation of two short trails within the exhibit area.

Sisters win United Way design contest
Morgan Rehm, who attends Western Elementary, and her sister Rachel, who attends Scott County Middle School, were recently declared winners of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky's United Way design contest. The contest kicked off the beginning of TMMK's United Way fund-raising campaign and was open to elementary and middle school children of TMMK employees. The designs will go on TMMK United Way displays to be used during the fund-raising campaign at the TMMK plant.
