The Kentucky State Fair Pride of the Counties, sponsored by the Kentucky Farm Bureau, draws attention to each county's history, dining and lodging, attractions, and festivals. Of 63 counties participating, Woodford County's exhibit was judged 2009 Best Exhibit for the third time in 10 years.
Visitors to the exhibit, made possible by the Woodford County Tourist Commission, received brochures highlighting tourist attractions, dining, antiques, horse farm tours and education. Students visiting the exhibit were given a "Facts About Woodford County" brochure to help them in preparing school reports. Over 300 Woodford Countians visited the exhibit, and the Pride of the Counties hall attracted approximately 30,000 visitors. Community volunteers hosted the exhibit for the 10-day run of the state fair.
