The Woodford County Historical Society is accepting silent bids on its American Heritage quilt, on display at the society's library and museum, 121 Rose Hill. Bids start at $500. The sampler squares were made by members and friends of the society from several states and all over Kentucky as a fund-raising project. The 30 finished blocks are 92 inches wide by 108 inches long and are 100 percent cotton.
Bids can be made in writing to the society until Oct. 31. Call (859) 873-6786 or (859) 420-1925 or visit www.woodfordkyhistory.org.
