Thirty contestants from across the state will compete in Lexington for the title of Miss Kentucky 2010 during the 75th annual Miss Kentucky Pageant on Saturday.
This year the public will decide which contestant becomes one of the 11 semifinalists. The "Kentucky's Choice" winner will be determined through an Internet vote at www.misskentuckypageant.com. The cost is $1 per vote, and there is no limit to the amount of votes that can be cast. Proceeds will benefit the Miss Kentucky Scholarship Organization.
Among the featured entertainers at this year's pageant will be Miss America 2000 Heather French Henry; Miss America 2004 Ericka Dunlap, Miss Kentucky 1998 Chera-Lyn Cook Kennedy and Miss Kentucky 2009 Mallory Ervin. Miss America 2010 Caressa Cameron will also attend.
Cameron, along with former Miss Kentuckys, will appear at an autograph session at Miss Priss in Victorian Square from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday. The cost is $20 and includes a photo with Miss America. Proceeds from the session will benefit the Children's Miracle Network and Miss Kentucky Scholarship Organization.
