BRIEFS: East Jessamine class of 2000 holding reunion

The East Jessamine High School Class of 2000's 10-year reunion takes place at Talon Winery, 7086 Tates Creek Road, Lexington, from 6 to 11 p.m. on Friday. The cost is $35 per person or $70 per couple. Tickets can be purchased by going to the Web site: ejhs2010.com. Dinner will be served and there will be a cash bar.

Car-Hop fund-raiser

Members of the Slow Ride Racing Club joined with Nicholasville Sonic Drive-In employees for a Car-Hop fund-raiser for Adrian Howard, a Sonic employee who recently lost his mother and daughter in an I-75 crash. Howard is assistant manager at the Fayette Mall Sonic and previously worked at the Nicholasville location.

Main Street group gets national accreditation

Nicholasville NOW! has been designated as an accredited National Main Street Program for meeting the commercial district revitalization performance standards set by the National Trust Main Street Center. The Nicholasville program was recognized for building comprehensive and sustainable revitalization efforts, fostering strong public-private partnerships, and preserving historic buildings.
