Franklin County: Rights group to mark 50th year

The Kentucky Commission on Human Rights will celebrate its 50-year anniversary with a Moonlite Bar-B-Q of Owensboro luncheon at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 16 in the Frankfort Convention Center, 405 Mero Street, Frankfort.

Judge Sara Walter Combs, the first female chief judge of the Kentucky Court of Appeals, will be the keynote speaker.

The deadline for registration is Dec. 7. Tickets are $25, or $200 for a table of eight. Checks should be made payable to the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights and mailed to Attention: Arthur Kaufman, 332 West Broadway, Seventh Floor, Louisville, Ky. 40202.
