Lexington says 'thank you' to its correctional officers

The 2011 Correctional Officer Appreciation Week was May 2 to 6. During the week, staff members were treated to meals served by supervisors and awarded daily prizes provided through donations from community businesses. Lexington Mayor Jim Gray, Vice Mayor Linda Gorton, council members Kevin Stinnett and Peggy Henson, Commissioner of Public Safety Clay Mason, Commissioner of Finance Jane Driskell, Director of Revenue Bill O'Mara and Director of Budgeting Ryan Barrows took part in some of the events.
