Retired Judge Anthony M. Wilhoit of Versailles was the guest speaker at the 2011 Midway Memorial Day service at Midway Cemetery on May 30. Wilhoit was chief judge of the Kentucky Court of Appeals and is now executive director of the Kentucky Legislative Ethics Commission.
The Midway service is an annual event that draws many veterans and their family members. The veterans are recognized, and each has the opportunity to speak about his or her service.
Midway city council members and residents provide music for the event, and local Boy Scouts present the colors each year.
