Fayette County: Reindeer Express needs donations and volunteers

The Nest Center for Women, Children and Families needs donations for its Reindeer Express holiday distribution, which serves families who have been clients of The Nest during the past year. The Nest provides services to women and families in crisis, while working to prevent child abuse and neglect.

Reindeer Express is set for Dec. 16 at The Nest in Duncan Park. More than 800 families with a total of more than 900 children have been invited to participate.

The Nest needs wrapping paper, new toys and winter outerwear suitable for children from birth through age 5, and it needs volunteers to help with the event. Call Shelly Ginter at (859) 259-1974, Ext. 29, to arrange drop-off donations.
