Scott County: Trade canned goods, toys, coats for movie popcorn

    ORDER REPRINT →

December 07, 2011 12:00 AM

Through Dec. 15 the Theatres of Georgetown will be giving away popcorn and soda in exchange for donations of food, toys and children's coats.

Bring in two cans of food and receive a free small bag of popcorn. Four cans of food or a new, unwrapped toy gets you a free medium bag of popcorn.

Food items will be turned over to the Amen House and toys will be donated to Toys for Tots and picked up by the Georgetown Fire Department.

Through the end of January the Theatres of Georgetown will also be collecting coats for children. Bring in a new coat for a child and receive two medium bags of popcorn and two large sodas free. A gently used, clean coat for a child will get you a medium bag of popcorn and soda. All coats will be donated to local schools.
