The Second Annual We Care Walkathon for Special Olympics returns to Frankfort on Saturday.
Walkers can form a team or participate on their own and walk the 1-mile path at Sunset Memorial Gardens on U.S. 60, raising money to support Special Olympics programs in Franklin County and beyond.
Participants can make as many as three laps during the walkathon and can collect pledges based on laps walked or simply to support their efforts. Each participant must have at least $20 in pledges to start, and all walkers who raise at least $75 will be entered into a drawing for a $100 Best Buy gift card.
Participants can register online at SOKY.kintera.org/12wecarewalk, where they can create a Web page and raise money via email through secure, online donations.
