Woodford County: Run/walk benefits Cops for Kids

The inaugural Cops & Joggers 3K/8K Run Walk will be at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 6 at Falling Springs parking lot, 275 Beasley Drive. Registration fee is $20. Register at Active.com. The first 200 people to register receive a free T-shirt. The event will benefit Cops for Kids and is sponsored by the Versailles Police Department.

Puppets featured in a musical 'Rumpelstiltskin'

Rumpelstiltskin, featuring the Madcap Puppets, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Duthie Auditorium in the Anne Hart Raymond Center at Midway College. Tickets for this musical adaptation of the well-known fairy tale are free and are available at either branch of the Woodford County Library. For more information, call (859) 846-4014.

Author talks about Bill of Rights

"The Election That Saved America, How the Bill of Rights Became Part of the Constitution," will be presented at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the main branch of the Woodford County Library, 115 North Main Street, Versailles. Richard Labunski, author of James Madison and the Struggle for the Bill of Rights will be the featured speaker.
