Disposal fees for car, truck and tractor tires will be waived during the Tire Amnesty Event from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily Thursday through Saturday at the Jessamine County Road Department, 400 Park Drive, Nicholasville.
An unlimited amount of tires on and off rims will be accepted during the event, which is sponsored by Jessamine County Fiscal Court. Foam-filled tires, off-road construction equipment tires, and solid tires with press-on rims will not be accepted.
The program will not accept tires from tire retailers and agricultural tire retailers. For more information or to report a waste tire location, call Jessamine County Environmental Services at (859) 881-4545.

The Wilmore Senior Community Center is sponsoring "Body Recall: Fitness for Life" classes at 11 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays in October at Wesley Village, 1125 Lexington Road, Wilmore.
Certified trainer Judith Edwards will lead the low-impact exercise and gentle-movement program that helps individuals stay active while decreasing their risk for diabetes, obesity and fall-related injuries. The focus of the free program is having fun in a social setting while enjoying a healthy workout.
There will be no classes Oct. 16 and 30.
