Team wins silver medal at Special Olympics
The Madison County Terminators, the flag football team for Madison County Special Olympics, opened its 2013 season by participating in a regional tournament in Northern Kentucky at Thomas Moore College. More than 250 athletes from 19 counties participated in the tournament and the Terminators won the silver medal. Workshop for families dealing with Alzheimer's planned

The Alzheimer's Association, in conjunction with the Madison County Cooperative Extension, will present a workshop for families caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's disease or some other type of dementia. The workshop will be from 1 to 3:30 p.m. May 23 at the extension office, 230 Duncannon Lane, Richmond. Learn strategies to provide safe, effective and comfortable care in the middle stages of Alzheimer's.
