Two outdoor concert series will kick off this weekend on Wilmore's Downtown Green. The bluegrass sounds of Jessamine Creek Express will open the Gospel on the Green series at 7 p.m. Friday. And the Swing Street Band will open the Stonebridge Concert Series at 7 p.m. on Saturday.

The Downtown Green is located off East Main Street and can be accessed by Rice Street. Tables and chairs will be provided and food is available.

In lieu of an admission, attendees are requested to bring a nonperishable food item for the Wilmore/High Bridge Community Center outreach or dog/cat food for the Jessamine County Save Center. The Friday and Saturday concerts will continue through August. See the full concert schedule at Wilmore.org.

She has a degree in business administration from Texas A&M University and a master of arts in Christian education from Asbury Theological Seminary.
