Jessamine County: Hall named dean at Asbury

William Hall has been selected as dean of the School of Graduate and Professional Studies at Asbury University in Wilmore. Hall is a 1991 graduate of Asbury University where he majored in elementary and middle-school education. He earned a master's degree in educational leadership at Eastern Kentucky University. He holds a doctorate in education from the University of Kentucky in instruction and administration, with a concentration in instructional design.


Seniors to get lesson in drawing, painting

David Stenulson, an Eastern Kentucky University art instructor, will teach the basics of drawing and painting at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Wilmore Senior Community Center at Wesley Village. All supplies are furnished. Stenulson is a Nicholasville native and graduate of Asbury University. For details, call Alan at (859) 858-3865, Ext. 238.


Spanish folk dancing at Public Library

Diana Dinicola, director of Flamenco Louisville, will present a Spanish folk dance demonstration from 6:30-7 p.m. Thursday at the Jessamine County Public Library, 600 South Main Street, Nicholasville. Dinicola is a teaching and performing artist for the Kentucky Arts Council and makes annual trips to Seville, Spain, for continuing professional development. Following the performance, a flamenco dance workshop will be held from 7-8 p.m. The workshop is open to children ages 10 and older, teens and adults.
