Woodford County: Reception for local artist set for Sunday at library

A gallery reception for local artist Larry Frost will be from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Woodford County Public Library's main branch in downtown Versailles. Paintings by Frost, a member of the Portrait Society of America, hang all over the world and include portraits of Secretariat, Adolph Rupp and Joe B. Hall. The show runs through Sept. 6.

Arthritis exercise class offered

The Woodford County Health Department is offering an Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program, a low-impact physical activity program, from 11 to 11:45 a.m. Monday through Sept. 11. The routine includes gentle range-of-motion exercises that are suitable for every fitness level. The free classes meet for one hour, two times per week for six weeks at the Woodford County Health Department, 229 North Main Street, Versailles. Free documentary to be shown

Marvo Entertainment Group will host a free showing of the documentary My Kentucky Home: Woodford County from 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 18 at the Falling Springs Arts and Recreation Center Theatre, 275 Beasley Drive, Versailles, and will air the program this fall on KET.
