The county tree-lighting ceremony on the Jessamine County Courthouse lawn at 6 p.m. Friday will cap off Nicholasville's Christmas on Main. Music will include Rosenwald Dunbar Elementary students, Brookside Elementary Students and the Jessamine Jazz Ensemble. Hear dramatic readings of the Christmas story and other traditional holiday works.
Complimentary hot chocolate and free photos with Santa will be available. The winner of the "Winter Windows" holiday decorating contest, sponsored by the Creative Art League of Jessamine County, will be announced during the event.

From the 7 a.m. Lions Club pancake breakfast at the Providence School to the 8 p.m. Choral Grand Finale at Wilmore United Methodist Church, Wilmore's Old-Fashioned Musical Christmas on Saturday is an entire day filled with activities for all ages. Dozens of Wilmore businesses and churches are opening their doors with holiday hospitality, shopping and seasonal music.

Story time with Santa at the YMCA
The Jessamine County YMCA will host story time with Santa from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at 220 East Maple Street. Santa will be on hand to read a Christmas story and there will be a time for crafts and activities as well. Bring your camera to create your own holiday memories with Santa.
Visitors are encouraged to bring a canned good that will be donated to the Jessamine County Salvation Army. Please register in advance by calling (859) 885-5013.
Camp Nelson's Christmas at the White House
The West Jessamine Middle School Choir and the Gospel Word Missionary Church choir will be adding to the festivities at the annual Christmas at the White House, from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Camp Nelson Civil War Heritage Park.
The antebellum White House, barracks and museum will be open for tours. Enjoy hot apple cider and cookies.
