Public meetings to discuss I-75 Connector are Tuesday, Thursday

Public information meetings for the US 27 to I-75 Connector have been scheduled for Tuesday at East Jessamine Middle School, 901 Union Mill Road in Nicholasville, and Thursday at B. Michael Caudill Middle School, 1428 Dr. Robert R. Martin Bypass in Richmond.

The agenda for both meetings will be open format from 6-8 p.m. to view displays and maps and to ask questions. A reporter will be on hand to record comments. For more information, contact Ananias Calvin III, the KYTC project manager, at (859) 246-2355 or ananias.calvin@ky.gov.

YMCA has new running program for youth

The Jessamine County YMCA is sponsoring Run this Town, a new running/mentoring program for 10- to 18-year-olds. The free training sessions meet from 6-8 p.m. at Lake Mingo Park on Mondays and Wednesdays and at 8 a.m. Saturdays through Sept. 27. Participants will train for the final event, an 8K run held in Versailles on Sept. 27. No running experience is necessary.
