Digging up a story
Jack Jouett Archaeology Project Director Nick Laracuente was the guest speaker on Dec. 3 for Sioux Finney's two P.A.S.T. (Piecing a Story Together) academy classes at  Woodford County High School. Students learned about archaeology and about the excavations at Jack Jouett's distillery/grist mill this year. Students participated in hands-on activities, which included mending "artifacts" and creating detailed observations and interpretations of the completed objects.
