Graduations

■ U.S. Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Gregory L. Mitchell has graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio. Mitchell is the son of Gregory Mitchell Sr., Lexington, and Angela Rogers, Louisville. He is the stepson of John Boyette, Louisville, and the grandson of Gertrude Saunders, Lexington, and Deborah Sledge, Louisville. The airman is a 2014 graduate of Male High School in Louisville.

The Bluegrass Chapter, Military Officers Association of America, will meet at Equestrian Woods Country Club in Nicholasville at noon Thursday.

The featured speaker will be Lt. Col. Darell Robinson, professor of military science and seniors' instructor of the Eastern Kentucky University Army ROTC unit, better known as the Colonel's Battalion. Robinson is a decorated combat veteran with service postings that include Iraq, Kuwait and Korea.

Equestrian Woods is at 107 Clubhouse Drive near Harrodsburg Road and Spring Crest Drive, about two miles south of Man o' War Boulevard.
