The Kentucky Wine and Vine Fest, a celebration of Kentucky wineries and vineyards, will be noon to 7 p.m. Saturday at Oak and York Streets in Nicholasville.
Meet owners and taste wines from several wineries, including First Vineyard, which has been re-established in Jessamine County on the site of North America's first commercial winery.
Wine tent admission is $30. Admission to an arts and crafts area and food court is free. A strolling barbershop quartet and Dixieland musicians will provide entertainment. Find out more at Kywineandvine.com.

A new hardbound pictorial history book is in the works, and area residents and people with ties to the community are invited to submit photographs for inclusion in the book. The book will feature photos of townships, communities, businesses, agriculture, transportation, schools, churches, old homes and people from all walks of life.
Copies of the book must be ordered in advance at the pre-publication price of $39.95. All materials, photos and orders should be sent to the Jessamine County Pictorial History Book, 1274 Union Mill Road, Nicholasville, Ky 40356.
