Lexington’s Fraternal Order of Firefighters annual toy drive under way

Lexington’s Fraternal Order of Firefighters is asking citizens to help make the holidays brighter for thousands of Lexington kids by donating to its 84th Annual Toy Drive.

Donations are being accepted at all Lexington fire stations. A variety of toys for boys and girls ages 0-12 are needed including: dolls, bikes, balls, action figures and more. The organization asks that gifts are brought unwrapped.

All applications for gifts must be completed and turned in by Nov. 25 , to 2245 Frankfort Court. For more information, contact the FOF at 859-23-9576, or go to its website at Lfdfof.org.

Gift application requirements

Applications may be dropped off at 2245 Frankfort Court Monday-Wednesday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.; Thursday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m.

The children must be 12 years old or younger and the person applying must:

  • Be the legal guardian or parent of the child
  • Have a valid and current ID, with the same address as the application address
  • Have proof of residence in the form of a lease or bill. Food stamp information, insurance bills, and social security information MAY NOT be used as proof of residence
  • Have the child’s birth certificate or a letter of attendance from a Fayette County school
