The Paris Police Department has charged 41 people with trafficking in a controlled substance over the past three months.
The agency said in a press release that the arrests follow a year-long investigation and that those arrested were allegedly selling crack cocaine or prescription drugs.
While some of the accused "were minor dealers," according to the release, several also were charged with being a persistent felony offender.
