An HP call center in Winchester might lay off nearly 200 employees if it can't find business to replace a departing client.
HP spokeswoman Jane McMillian said Sprint has informed HP that it intends to terminate its agreement for call center support.
The Winchester location, which has 350 employees, has other clients and won't shut down completely, she said, and "we're hoping we can bring in new business" to keep jobs.
The call center was previously run by Electronic Data Systems, which HP bought in 2008.
