A Winchester store was the site of an illegal gambling operation and had large quantity of synthetic drugs, Kentucky State Police said Friday.
James Clevenger, 53, of Winchester, was charged Thursday with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, state police said in a news release.
The charge came after the KSP Drug Enforcement/Special Investigations Branch served a search warrant at The Discount Tobacco Store in Shoppers Village Plaza.
The warrant was the result of several purchases of synthetic drugs at the store, police said in the release.
