A truck ripped down cable lines Monday afternoon, causing parts of downtown roads to be closed.
After the truck took down the lines about 12:30 p.m., High Street was blocked between Clay and Woodland avenues, Lexington Police said. Spectrum and Windstream cable companies worked on repairs. Kentucky Utilities checked and no power lines were affected, police said.
The blocked area of High Street was expected to reopen in the early afternoon.
