Lexington traffic report, week of Sept. 7

Work will be done between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., unless otherwise noted

Major TRAFFIC IMPACT

North Upper Street between West Short and West Main streets will be closed through Jan. 1 for building renovation on the 21c Museum Hotel. Traffic is detoured to North Martin Luther King Boulevard.

SIGNIFICANT TRAFFIC IMPACT

The intersection of Brookmeade Drive and Mariemont Drive will be blocked through Sept. 7 for a stormwater rehab project.

One lane of Clays Mill Road between Keithshire Way and Waco Road will be blocked 24 hours a day through Nov. 27 for the widening project.

The sidewalk and bike lane of Euclid Avenue between Lafayette and Marquis avenues will be blocked 24 hours a day through Nov. 6 to allow for construction work.

Alternating lanes of Harrodsburg Road at Waller Avenue will be closed as needed through Oct. 1 for road work.

Lancaster Avenue between York and East Seventh streets will be closed 24 hours a day through Sept. 18 for a stormwater rehab project.

The eastbound lane of Meadow Lane between East New Circle Road and Emerson Drive will be blocked through Friday for utility work.

The southbound sidewalk and turn lane of South Limestone at Administration Drive will be blocked intermittently through Sept. 30 while trucks are unloaded.

The southbound lane of South Martin Luther King Boulevard between East Maxwell and Avenue of Champions will be blocked 24 hours a day through Sept. 17 for utility work.

One lane of Winchester Road at Liberty Road will be blocked through Friday for utility work.

Moderate TRAFFIC IMPACT

Sidewalks along Conn Terrace and State Street between Elizabeth Street and Nicholasville Road will be blocked 24 hours a day through Nov. 25 for construction of Shriners Hospital.

Portions of Rosemont Garden between Nicholasville Road and Chelan Drive will be blocked as needed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. though Sept. 30 for traffic signal work.

The sidewalk and parking spaces along South Limestone between Avenue of Champions and West Maxwell Street will be blocked 24 hours a day through Sept. 18 for dorm construction.

Portions of Winston Avenue will be closed as needed though Wednesday for utility work.
