Citizens are invited to offer their opinions on the city's placement of the John Hunt Morgan and John C. Breckinridge statues, as well as a historical marker describing the slave trade, at a public forum Monday night.
The forum, to be moderated by Renee Shaw of KET, will be from 6 to 8 p.m. in council chambers at the Government Center, 200 East Main Street.
The event will be televised on GTV3 and streamed live on Lexingtonky.gov.
The Urban County Arts Review Board, which is exploring the city's treatment of the monuments, has already hosted a meeting with local historians and those with related expertise.
The board will meet from 3 to 5 p.m. Sept. 30 to begin discussing the recommendations it will make to the mayor and council.
