Lexington traffic report, week of Sept. 21

Work will be done between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., unless otherwise noted

Major TRAFFIC IMPACT

North Upper Street between West Short and West Main streets will be closed 24 hours a day through Jan. 1 for material staging and building renovation on the 21C Museum Hotel. Traffic will be detoured to North Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Rose Street between Funkhouser and Huguelet drives will be closed 24 hours a day through Aug. 1 or construction of the University of Kentucky's new science building.

SIGNIFICANT TRAFFIC IMPACT

The right lane of East High Street between Rose Street and Stone Avenue and between Woodland and Kentucky avenues will be blocked at times through Friday for utility work.

The right inbound lane of East Main Street between Indiana and Forest avenues and between North Ashland and Walton avenues will be blocked at times through Friday for utility work.

The sidewalk and bike lane of Euclid Avenue between Lafayette and Marquis avenues will be blocked 24 hours a day through Nov. 6 for construction work.

Alternating lanes of Harrodsburg Road at Waller Avenue will be closed as needed through Oct. 1 for road work.

The eastbound lane of Liberty Road near Appletree Lane will be blocked through Friday for utility work.

Alternating lanes of Newtown Pike at West Loudon Avenue will be blocked at times through Friday for utility work.

The left lane of North Limestone between West Fifth and West Sixth streets will be blocked 24 hours a day through Sept. 30 for utility work.

Ridgeway Road between Fontaine and Cochran roads will be closed to through traffic through Friday for utility work.

The northbound curb lane of South Broadway between West High and West Vine streets will be blocked through Friday for sidewalk replacement.

The southbound sidewalk and turn lane of South Limestone at Administration Drive will be blocked intermittently through Sept. 30 while trucks are unloaded.

The southbound lane of South Mill Street between Pine and Cedar streets will be blocked for one hour at 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. through Friday.

Moderate TRAFFIC IMPACT

The sidewalk on the south side of Church Street between Market and North Upper streets will be blocked through Friday.

Cross Street between West Maxwell and Pine streets will be closed 24 hours a day to through traffic through Monday for utility work.

The westbound lane of Longview Drive between Harrodsburg and Clays Mill roads will be blocked through Friday for utility work.

Alternating lanes of North Limestone between Twelfth Street and Paris Avenue will be blocked at times through Sept. 25 for utility work.

Portions of Rosemont Garden between Nicholasville Road and Chelan Drive will be blocked as needed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Sept. 30 for traffic signal work.

Todds Road between Forest Hill Drive and Cypress Point Way will be narrowed to one lane through Nov. 2 for utility work. Flaggers will control traffic flow.
