Two people died after a crash on U.S. 60 near the Bath/Montgomery county line, Friday, officials said Saturday.
William Key, 64, of Sharpsburg was driving a Jeep westbound on U.S. 60 in Bath County when his vehicle struck a plank fence, according to a Kentucky State Police news release. Key died at the scene.
One of Key's passengers, Diana Day, 64, was taken to St Joseph Hospital in Mount Sterling and then transferred to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, where she died, coroner and police officials said.
Another passenger, Kirstie Vice, 39, of Sharpsburg, refused medical treatment, police said.
