Lexington's Division of Parks and Recreation will hold a series of public meetings this week to discuss plans for parks programming and potential new parks development over the next decade. The meetings will be:
■ Aug. 4: 6-8 p.m. at both the Picadome golf course and public meeting room, 469 Parkway Drive, and the Tates Creek golf course ballroom, 1400 Gainesway Drive.
■ Aug. 5: 6-8 p.m. at both the Meadowthorpe Community Center, 333 Larch Lane, and the Dunbar Community Center, 545 North Upper Street.
■ Aug. 6: 10 a.m. to noon at the Senior Citizens Center, 1530 Nicholasville Road.
Also, at 5:30-7 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Bryan Station High School, 201 Eastin Road, the future use of Hisle Park, an undeveloped 225-acre park on Briar Hill Road in northern Fayette County, will be discussed. The city says it would like to hear from groups that are not served with facilities and program offerings at other Lexington parks as it plans for development of Hisle Park.
