Lexington residents will have an opportunity to share ideas about improving South Limestone near the University of Kentucky at a public meeting 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
The purpose is to gather input on improving safety and convenience for drivers, pedestrians, bicyclists and public transit riders along the stretch of South Limestone between the Avenue of Champions and Cooper Drive.
Ideas on improving Upper Street between downtown and UK also are being sought.
The meeting is not related to plans to temporarily close South Limestone between Euclid Avenue and Vine Street for streetscape improvements. Instead, it is the first step in a transportation study by the city, along with the Lexington Area Metropolitan Planning Organization, UK and the state transportation cabinet.
The meeting will be in the third floor conference room of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government Phoenix Office Building at 101 East Vine Street.
