K.C. Crosbie will seek a third term representing the 7th District on the Urban County Council.
"My priorities continue to be protecting the public, safeguarding tax dollars and fighting for the well-being of our communities," Crosbie said in a prepared statement.
Economic conditions will require "attentive leadership and difficult choices for our community," Crosbie said, adding that she would not allow budget constraints to impede the city's progress or limit essential services in her district.
She is on the council's Services and Intergovernmental committees and is chairwoman of the Public Safety Link for the budget.
Crosbie, 40, is a former sales representative for Merck & Co. She is married and has three children. She has served on the executive board of the Junior League of Lexington, the local board of the American Heart Association and president of the Andover Estates Neighborhood Association.
