A Lexington woman, one of two people injured in a two-vehicle accident Saturday night on Iron Works Pike, was in serious condition Sunday afternoon at University of Kentucky Hospital, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Celia C. Woollard, 55, was severely injured in the accident, which occurred shortly before 7:30 p.m., according to Lexington police.
The driver of the other vehicle, James. H. Blanchard, 29, of Georgetown, was taken to Georgetown Community Hospital. Information about his condition was not available Sunday afternoon.
Police said that a Geo Prism driven by Woollard was making a left turn from westbound Iron Works Pike into the entrance of 4550 Iron Works Pike when her vehicle was struck by an eastbound Plymouth Voyager driven by Blanchard.

Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the accident, according to Lexington police. Woollard, who was ejected from her vehicle, was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident; Blanchard was wearing a seat belt, according to police.
