Two men were arrested after a five-hour standoff with police early Monday morning.
Officers were dispatched to 743 Della Drive in Lexington for a call of shots fired after a neighbor heard one of the men shooting a rifle at 1:30 a.m., police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said.
When officers arrived, James Vance, 29, and James Jones, 30, who both had outstanding warrants, ran inside and refused to come out. The Emergency Response Unit was dispatched to negotiate.
Jones came out about halfway through the standoff. Vance surrendered around 6 a.m., Roberts said.

Vance was charged with cultivation of marijuana, menacing and violation of an emergency protective order, on top of warrants for non-payment of fines and failure to appear in court. Jones was charged with one count of non-payment of fines.
Roberts said it appeared the men weren't firing the rifle at anyone or anything in particular.
