Two men were found shot Sunday as they drove along Kenton Street between Fourth and Fifth streets. Shortly after 5 p.m., residents on the road, which is near North Broadway, heard the two stop the car around the middle of the block and yell for help, said Lt. Chris Van Brackel of Lexington police.
Van Brackel said it appears the two had been shot elsewhere, but police do not know where.
He said police knew the name of one of the victims, though he would not release it, but not the other. The two were taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital with life-threatening injuries, he said. Both men were shot in the head, said Lexington police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 258-3600.
