Traffic report, week of Nov. 22

Special Notes 

The Winter Festival and Holiday Market from 2 to 8 p.m. and the Christmas Parade at 5:30 p.m. and tree lighting ceremony at 6:40 p.m. in downtown Lexington will have the following effect on traffic on Friday: Main Street will be closed from Broadway to Algonquin Street from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., Midland Avenue will be closed between Third and Main streets from 3 to 6:15 p.m., and Main Street will be closed between Midland Avenue and Jefferson Street from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. All intersecting streets will also be closed, including Broadway.

The city's Division of Building Inspection issued grading permits for the following addresses during the period Nov. 5 to 19: 2530 Sir Barton Way, 868 Nandino Boulevard, 3251 Beaumont Centre Circle, 370 Andover Drive, 748 Whispering Brook Trace and 1850 Fielden Drive. Grading permits are issued for six months and can include blasting.

SIGNIFICANT TRAFFIC IMPACT

The sidewalk and left turn lane of East Main Street will be blocked at Rose Street on Monday while a building graphic is being installed at Commerce Lexington.

The right lane of East High Street will be blocked between Woodland and Ransom avenues from Monday to Wednesday for maintenance.

The inbound and outbound right lanes of Man o' War Boulevard will be blocked as needed between Mapleleaf Drive and Helmsdale Place through Wednesday to install streetlights.

The outbound right lane of South Broadway will be blocked between Cedar Street and West High Street through Monday for cable work.

Lanes and the sidewalk of West Vine Street will be blocked as needed from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday for sewer work. At least one or two lanes will be open for travel at all times.

One lane at a time of Euclid Avenue will be closed at Clay Avenue through Wednesday for utility work. One-lane traffic will be maintained in both directions.

The right lane of West Maxwell Street will be blocked between Versailles Road and South Broadway through Wednesday to work on manholes.

The parking and right through lane of East Maxwell Street will be blocked between Rose Street and Woodland Avenue through Dec. 30 to rebuild the curb and sidewalk. There will be no blockage during rush hours.

The inbound and outbound center lanes and turn lane of North Broadway will possibly be closed between Granard Avenue and West Loudon Avenue from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Nov. 30 for a water main installation.
