A tractor-trailer pulling two trailers overturned on the ramp leading from Ironworks Pike to northbound Interstate 75 Monday night, blocking part of the ramp.
The back trailer came loose, causing both trailers to tip over at about 9 p.m., said Lt. Edward Hart of the Lexington police. No one was injured, and speed was not thought to be a factor, he said.
The truck was carrying wooden railroad ties and pallets.
Hart said two cranes were brought in to lift the trailers, but one lane of the ramp was still open. The ramp was expected to remain partially blocked until 2 or 3 a.m. Tuesday, he said.
