Traffic report: week of May 23

SPECIAL NOTE

There will continue to be lane closures on the inner loop of New Circle Road bridges through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Pothole repairs are scheduled for two sections: The inner loop from Richmond Road to Nicholasville Road and the inner loop from Nicholasville Road to Versailles Road. One lane of the inner loop will be open to traffic at all times during the scheduled work.

SIGNIFICANT IMPACT

The left eastbound lane of New Circle Road will be blocked between Russell Cave Road and North Broadway through Friday for utility work.

Lanes of Cooper Drive will be closed and traffic diverted between University Drive and South Limestone through Thursday to repair an overhead pedestrian walkway. One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction.

The left lane of South Limestone will be blocked at West Vine Street from Tuesday through Friday for utility work.

Quality Street will be closed between East Main Street and Water Street through June 6 for the streetscape project.

The northbound right lane of Rose Street will be blocked between Lyndhurst Place and East Vine Street through Friday for utility work.

The right lane of West High Street will be closed between Merino and Cox streets through May 31 for utility work.

The right lane of West Maxwell Street will be closed between Merino Street and Madison Place through May 31 for utility work.

Old Paris Road will be closed to all but local traffic from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. between Strawberry Fields Road and Beverly Avenue through June 18, and between Paris Pike and Strawberry Fields Road through June 3 for sewer work. Detours are in place.

There could be a rolling blockage in the right southbound lane of Sir Barton Way between Winchester Road and Old Rosebud Lane through May 31 for streetlight installation.

The parking and right through lane of East Maxwell Street will be blocked between Rose Street and Woodland Avenue through June 7 to rebuild the curb and sidewalk. There will be no blockage during rush hours.

MODERATE IMPACT

The left-turn lane on outbound Harrodsburg Road will be blocked for a short time at Lane Allen Road through Wednesday for pavement repair.

A portion of Oak Hill Drive will be blocked at East Loudon Avenue through Friday for utility work.

The right outbound lane and left-turn lane of South Limestone will be blocked at Transcript Avenue through Wednesday for pavement repairs.

Sophia Alley will be closed to all but local traffic between Penmoken Park and Rosemont Garden from Tuesday through Friday for utility work.

The left lane of West High Street and the inbound lane of South Mill Street will be blocked at the intersection at times through Wednesday for pavement repair.

The parking lane on the left side of West High Street will be blocked between Madison Place and Cox Street through Wednesday for pavement repair.

The sidewalk and right lane of East Main Street will be blocked at Deweese Street through Wednesday for pavement repair.
