SPECIAL NOTES

The Fourth of July Festival downtown on Monday, July 4, will have the following impact on traffic:

■ Main Street will be closed from Midland Avenue to Mill Street from 6 to 11 a.m. and 1:30 to 5 p.m., and from Mill to Broadway from 1:30 to 5 p.m.

■ Short Street will be closed from Mill to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. and from MLK to Eastern Avenue from 7 to 11 a.m.

■ Midland Avenue will be closed from East Third to Main streets from 5 to 8:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. to 3 p.m.

■ Vine Street will be closed from Broadway to Midland Avenue from 7 to 11 a.m.

■ Water Street will be open all day.

■ Rose Street will be closed from High to Short streets from 7 to 11 a.m. and 1:30 to 4 p.m.

■ Quality Street will be closed from Main to Water streets from 5 to 11 a.m. and 2 to 5 p.m.

■ Esplanade will be closed from Main to Short streets from 5 to 11 a.m and 2 to 5 p.m.

■ Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard will be closed from High to Short streets from 7 to 11 a.m. and 2 to 5 p.m.

■ Limestone will be closed from Vine to Barr streets from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. and from High to Vine streets from 7 to 11 a.m.

■ Upper Street will be closed from Church to Vine streets from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.

■ Mill Street will be closed from Short to High streets from 7 to 11 a.m.

■ Oliver Lewis Way will be closed from Main to Manchester streets from 9:30 to 10:30 p.m.

SIGNIFICANT TRAFFIC IMPACT

The inbound right lane of Harrodsburg Road will be blocked between Pasadena and Burbank drives through Friday for road construction.

The outbound left turn lane of North Broadway will be blocked at East Loudon Avenue from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Thursday to replace detection loops.

The approach lanes of North Broadway will be blocked between West Third and West Seventh streets from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Thursday to replace detection loops.

The sidewalk and left lane of East Main Street will be blocked between Elm Tree Lane and North Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard through Friday for the streetscape project.

Lanes of East New Circle Road might be diverted in both directions at Family Circle through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. for utility work.

Lanes of East New Circle Road might be diverted in both directions at Palumbo Drive through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. for utility work.

One of the northbound lanes of South Broadway will be blocked between West Main Street and Mason-Headley Road from 4 to 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., through Thursday for street work.

The eastbound lane of Huguelet Drive will be closed between South Limestone and Rose Street — just past the entrance to the Kentucky Clinic parking garage — through Aug. 5 for construction work. Westbound Huguelet will remain open, and traffic from eastbound Huguelet will be detoured to Washington Street.

There might be a rolling blockage in the right southbound lane of Sir Barton Way between Winchester Road and Old Rosebud Lane through Thursday for streetlight installation.
