State road crews will reduce one lane of traffic in each direction along the U.S. 421/Leestown Road bridge near the Lexington Cemetery beginning at 9 a.m. Monday through Nov. 8 to replace bridge joints.
Traffic is expected to be congested near Rupp Arena on Thursday for the UK-Northwood basketball game, which begins at 7 p.m. Motorists should use caution and watch for pedestrians crossing downtown streets.
Traffic near Commonwealth Stadium is expected to be congested Saturday for the UK-Vanderbilt football game, which begins at noon. Traffic on Cooper Drive will be one way going toward the stadium before the game and one way on Waller Avenue going away from the stadium after the game.
SIGNIFICANT TRAFFIC IMPACT
The left lane of South Limestone will be blocked between East Main Street and East High Street on Monday, for utility work.
The eastbound lane of Angliana Avenue will be blocked at South Broadway through Friday, for utility work.
Alternating lane closures will take place on Rosemont Garden at the railroad crossing through Friday for crossing maintenance.
One lane at a time of Buchanan Street will be closed as needed between West Main Street and the end of the street from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Wednesday, to replace utility poles.
The outbound right lane of West Main Street will be blocked between Newtown Pike and Buchanan Street through Wednesday to replace utility poles.
MODERATE TRAFFIC IMPACT
One lane at a time of Sparks Road will be blocked between Lagonda Avenue and Delaware Avenue through Nov. 7 for pavement repairs.
The inbound right lane of East Main Street will be blocked between Walton Avenue and Bell Court on Sunday by a moving van. The same lane will be blocked in the same place Nov. 11 by a moving van.
The northbound lane of North Limestone will be blocked at Rosemary Avenue through Friday for utility work.
The southbound lane of Perry Street will be blocked between Manchester Street and Edmond Street from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Wednesday for utility work.
