A little more snow is on the way.
Snow showers and periods of light snow overnight Saturday and during the day on Sunday were expected to add about an inch to the 2 to 3 inches the Bluegrass received Saturday morning, said WKYT Chief Meteorologist Chris Bailey.
"Before the weekend is over, a lot of areas will have picked up 3 or 4 inches of snow," Bailey said.
He said another small "snow-maker" will move in Monday night, bringing a little more accumulation.
Lexington is slightly above average for snowfall so far this winter, and temperatures have been a little colder too, Bailey said.
Highs Sunday will be in the upper 20s; Monday's highs will be at or just above freezing, he said.
Normal highs for this time of year are around 43 degrees. By Thursday or Friday, we'll see some of those temperatures again, Bailey said.
