Red Cross Disaster Service volunteer Russ Hoff went through a checklist Tuesday as he and fellow volunteer Ramona Hibbard prepared to leave for Oklahoma from the Bluegrass Chapter of the American Red Cross headquarters on Newtown Pike in Lexington. Hoff and Hibbard left Tuesday in a Red Cross emergency response vehicle to assist victims of Monday's tornadoes.
Two Red Cross Bluegrass Chapter volunteers left Lexington Tuesday to help in Oklahoma where a massive tornado left residents homeless. Volunteers Russ Hoff and Ramon Hibbard prepared a special emergency response vehicle and said goodbye to loved ones. They will assist storm victims in hard-hit Oklahoma City suburbs.
