Public meeting to be held on two-way streets in Lexington

A public meeting to discuss converting one-way streets to two-way on the north side of downtown will be 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Lexington Traditional Magnet School.

The meeting will be held at 350 North Limestone Street.

Streets under review include North Limestone and North Upper streets from Main to Seventh Street; and Short and Second streets from Midland Avenue to Newtown Pike.

There will be a brief presentation of the overall downtown Lexington traffic movement and revitalization study and its objectives by consultants Stantec, Inc.

The public will have a chance to ask questions of the consultants, and express their opinion on the perceived benefits and concerns of two-way street conversion.
