SPECIAL NOTES

Motorists should expect heavy traffic and watch for children crossing streets in Fayette County on Wednesday, as school starts.

The outbound lanes of Versailles Road are closed until further notice between Bennett Avenue and Oliver Lewis Way for road rehabilitation. Traffic has been shifted to the inbound lanes. Motorists are advised to use caution in the area.

MAJOR TRAFFIC IMPACT

Inbound and outbound Clays Mill Road will be restricted to one lane in each direction 24 hours a day between Higbee Mill and Twain Ridge roads through August, as part of the Clays Mill Road widening project.

North Upper Street will be closed between West Short and West Main streets 24 hours a day and traffic will be detoured to North Martin Luther King Boulevard through Sept. 5, for a crane setup and building renovation on the 21C Hotel.

Rose Street will be closed between Columbia Avenue and Huguelet Drive 24 hours a day through Sept. 1 for construction of UK's new science building. Local access will be provided for Funkhouser Drive.

SIGNIFICANT TRAFFIC IMPACT

The left curb lane of East High Street will be blocked between South Martin Luther King Boulevard and Stone Avenue through Friday for utility work.

Hagerman Court will be closed between East Maxwell and East High streets through Friday, for utility work. Local access will be provided.

Marquis Avenue will be closed between Euclid Avenue and Ashland Terrace through Friday, and traffic will be detoured, for utility work. Local access will be provided.

Lanes of North Ashland Avenue will be blocked at Franklin Avenue through Aug. 31, for utility work.

There will be lane blockages on North Limestone Street at Loudon Avenue through Aug. 31 for utility work.

Lanes on both sides of North Martin Luther King Boulevard will be blocked one lane at a time between East Fifth Street and Rand Avenue through Aug. 29 for street repair.

Lanes of Todds Road will be blocked as needed at the intersection with Cypress Point Way through Friday for utility work.

Washington Avenue will be closed to through traffic 24 hours a day between Gladstone Avenue and Rose Street through Sept. 1 for construction.

The right inbound lane of Winchester Road will be blocked at East Seventh Street through Aug. 31 for utility work.

MODERATE TRAFFIC IMPACT

Both lanes of Andover Village Drive will be blocked one lane at a time at Todds Road through Friday, for utility work.

There will be a lane blockage on Blue Grass Avenue near North Limestone through Aug. 31, for utility work.

There will be a lane blockage on East Fifth Street between Ohio Street and Elm Tree Lane through Aug. 31 for utility work.

There will be a lane blockage on East Third Street at Warnock Street through Aug. 31 for utility work.

A lane of Elm Tree Lane will be blocked between East Fifth and East Sixth streets through Aug. 31 for utility work.

The parking spaces in front of 824 Euclid Avenue will be blocked 24 hours a day through Aug. 28 for construction.

A lane of Fayette Park will be blocked at Von Alley through Aug. 31 for utility work.

The right-turn lane of Kimbolton Drive will be blocked at Todds Road 24 hours a day through Friday for utility work.

There will be a lane blockage of Montgomery Avenue between Magnolia Avenue and East Seventh Street through Aug. 31 for utility work.

There will be a lane blockage of Ohio Street at East Sixth Street through Aug. 31 for utility work.

The eastbound lane of Rand Avenue will be blocked between North Limestone and North Martin Luther King Boulevard through Aug. 29 for utility work.
