Lexington on Thursday became the eighth Kentucky community to add electronic cigarettes to a ban on smoking in most indoor work spaces.
The Urban County Council unanimously approved an ordinance that bans e-cigarettes from bars, restaurants and most other workplaces. It takes effect immediately.
In 2004, Lexington was one of the first cities in Kentucky to pass a smoking ban.
